NOW THIS IS A TRIPOD. An original Linhof tripod made to support heavy camera's. Tripod, geared column and panorama head combined weighs in a staggering 14KG. But this combination is capable of supporting a full grown man without any problems. Not the most practicle of places to take a rest, but it shows how strong the construction is. I guess the Linhof company runs its own Bauxite mining operations as they are not shy of using loads of aluminum in their products. A very strong base, this ain't no joke. I am actually hanging on here, no trickery involved except for the cutout and shadow. Eggshell finish paint and a nice classic brand design.
